A reentry program known as "My Song for Life" is helping people in our care heal and express themselves in a positive way: through writing their own music. Led by recording artist Mark Collie, the program is available at Metro-Davidson County Detention Facility in Nashville, Tennessee.
"CoreCivic has given me the opportunity – and these men and women the opportunity – to grow, to learn," Collie said. "We have to prepare them all for second chances and that's what CoreCivic's trying to do and I'm glad to be a part of helping that."
