Go Further Release, a new program implemented at CoreCivic's Wheeler Correctional Facility, in Alamo, Georgia, offers returning citizens specialized life and reentry coaching for 90 days pre-release and 90 days post-release. This program has also been implemented at CoreCivic's Jenkins Correctional Center in Millen, Georgia, and Coffee Correctional Facility in Nicholls, Georgia.
"The goals of the program are . . . number one . . . reduce recidivism. And the second one is to help them have productive lives through changing their thought patterns and the things that got them incarcerated in the first place," said Lawrence Wynne, a Go Further Release Life and Reentry Coach.
