Lybrunca Cockrell is a single mom and a senior correctional officer at CoreCivic's Trousdale Turner Correctional Center in Hartsville, Tennessee. Originally Officer Cockrell had dreams of becoming a police officer, but quickly found she had a knack for corrections. Now, she enjoys providing this important service to the public and those in her care. She believes that being a good officer takes a positive mind and a willingness to help incarcerated people as they prepare to reenter the community.
