For 28 years, CoreCivic has hosted the Chairman's Charity Golf Classic to raise much-needed funds for nonprofits in Middle Tennessee, where the company is headquartered. This year, the event raised a record $600,000, surpassing last year's record by $70,000. These funds will benefit 34 organizations that align with the CoreCivic Foundation's giving mission: to serve former offenders, victims of crime and abuse, and underserved youth.
"We have felt for many years that it's really, really important to give back to the Nashville community," said President and CEO Damon Hininger. "This tournament is just a great way for our business partners to come with us, have a little fun, but also to have that opportunity to give back to our community."
