CoreCivic | 12/19/24 9:06 AM

CoreCivic employees across the country are dedicated to giving back and supporting their local communities. The holiday season can be challenging for some of our neighbors, which is why CoreCivic employees come together to collect and distribute donations and holiday cheer.

Here are just a few ways CoreCivic facilities nationwide participated in holiday season giving:

In Las Animas, Colorado, staff at Bent County Correctional Facility participated in a food drive. More than 5,200 items were donated, and staff raised nearly $500 for local food distribution centers to purchase turkeys for the holidays.

In Florence, Arizona, staff at Central Arizona Florence Correctional Complex collected 275 toys and donated them to the Youth Haven Ranch.

In Lake City, Florida, staff at Lake City Correctional Facility sponsored 25 local children and donated gifts from each child's gift list. Gifts ranged from bicycles to tablets, stuffed animals, and more.

In Laredo, Texas, staff at Laredo Processing Center held a toy and jacket drive for students at a local elementary school.

In Longmont, Colorado, staff and residents at Longmont Community Treatment Center worked together to assemble backpacks full of supplies for those experiencing homelessness. The backpacks included hygiene products, a blanket, socks, and more.

In Eloy, Arizona, staff at Red Rock Correctional Center participated in the local Toys for Tots drive.

In Taylor, Texas, staff at T. Don Hutto Detention Center collected gifts for children in need through the Bill Pickett Foundation's Operation Christmas.

In Hartsville, Tennessee, staff at Trousdale Turner Correctional Center teamed up with the non-profit Men of Valor Ministries to donate toys and bicycles to the Hartsville Rotary Club for their annual toy drive.

In Tutwiler, Mississippi, staff at Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility donated more than $2,500 to two local head start centers to purchase gifts for the students at the centers.

In Laredo, Texas, staff at Webb County Detention Center donated gifts to "Our Christmas Angels Tree" for local children.
