Facility Leader: Sidney Carter, Warden
Sidney Carter was named warden at Jenkins Correctional Center in July 2024. Carter joined CoreCivic in 2002 as a correctional officer at Coffee Correctional Center. Warden Carter has held key positions during his tenure with CoreCivic, including having served in the Assistant Warden position at the Adams County Correctional Center, South Central Correctional Center, Stewart Detention Center, Coffee Correctional Center and Trousdale Turner Correctional Center. He also held the position of Director of Interdiction at CoreCivic Facility Support Center. Prior to joining the CoreCivic Team, he worked with the Georgia Department of Corrections.
