Robert Adams Jr., Warden

Facility Leader: Robert Adams Jr., Warden

Robert Adams Jr. was named warden at the Hardeman County Correctional Center in June 2024. Previously, he served as warden at the Jenkins Correctional Center. Warden Adams joined CoreCivic in 1992 as a correctional officer at Leavenworth Detention Center. He was promoted to assistant shift supervisor at Bay Correctional Facility, where he also served as a shift supervisor. Adams became assistant chief of security at Northeast Ohio Correctional Center, where he was promoted to chief of security. He later joined Whiteville Correctional Facility, where he was an administrative shift supervisor, assistant chief of security, chief of security, and assistant warden. He transferred to Hardeman County Correctional Center as assistant warden before being promoted to warden at Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility. He later served as assistant warden at Whiteville and Hardeman. Before joining CoreCivic, Adams served for six years in the U.S. Army.
